ITINERARY :
Day One
Pick up from Medan airport or you hotel by private car. Travel around 3-4 hours to Bukit Lawang where you will stay in a guesthouse by the river.
Depending on your time of arrival you can visit the bat cave or go on a tour of a nearby village to experience the local way of life.
Day Two
The trek starts at 8.30 am after breakfast. In the jungle, you will have the opportunity to see orangutans and other mammals including gibbons, Thomas leaf monkeys, long tail macaques, pig tail macaques, Tukan and Great Argus (the Sumatran peacock). Along the way, your guide will inform you about the flora and fauna in the jungle, including the medicinal uses of plants in the jungle. This trek is good for people who have a limited time in Bukit Lawang, or who want to see the orangutans but prefer not to sleep in the jungle. On the one day trek you will spend around 5-6 hours walking through the jungle; giving you more opportunity to absorb your surroundings and observe animals in the wild. You have the option to walk back to Bukit Lawang or raft down the river on rubber tubes with your guide helping steer the way.
Day three
After breakfast you will travel 6 hours by private car to Brastagi. Along the way, stop at the crocodile farm in Medan and visit the Hindu temple. On arrival in Brastagi, you can visit the traditional Batak Karo fruit market.

Day four
Climb the volcano early morning to see the sunrise. The sibayak volcano stands at over 2000 meters and is still active. You can witness the beautiful view from the volcano before descending around 8am, stopping at a hot spring on the way down.
After breakfast you will travel 4 to 5 hours by private car to Lake Toba. Stop will be made at Sipiso-piso waterfall Long house of Simalungun Batak. During the trip you will pass local spices garden:coffee, cinnamon,clove,mandarin,passion fruit etc. Arrive in Samosir at the afternoon.
Day five
After breakfast you will explore the beauty and culture aspect of Batak by visiting Ambarita village to see the stone chair,table and the courtyard of the Sialagan clan. And then continue to visiting Simanindo village to watch the traditional dances of the Batak Tribe. Then on the way back to hotel visit Tomok village to see the old tomb of King’s Sidabutar. The rest of the day is free time. You can swimming at the lake and relax at he hotel.
Day six
After breakfast drop to Med
an hotel or airport. End of tour.
