Bamboo Rafting through Amandit River

DAY 1:
After arriving at of Pangkalan Bun, our local guide will pick up and assist to Kumai to get to the boat or Kelotok. The traditional boat is made of wood, which is called Kelotok by local people. The size is about 12 by 2,5 m with roof on the upper deck, where you can sleep and view the jungle. The guide’s team includes the boat man,cook native guede. In the peaceful afternoon we will slowly explore the quite river by the kelotok while the observe the monkeys along the river side. Dinner and overnigth on the boat, simple mattress, pillow, fine meals, bottle “mineral water”, mosquito net, kitchen, simple toilet available on the boat beside the familiar helpful guides and boatman, or spend the nigt at the Lodge near by the river.

DAY 2:
After Breakfast boart the Kelotok travel up river for about 2 hours boating and then up a side creek to Camp Leakey where the older orangutans are reintroduced into the jungle. En route stop at Pondok Tanggui, the rehabilitation center for the new-captive orangutans, see feding time at 9.00 am. then at Camp Leakey you will have opportunity to trek into the jungle with native guide and the forestry rangers to appereciate the flora as well as perhaps sigthing wild orangutans, gibbons, macaques and birds. Lunch provident on boat. At 2.00 pm we are visit the feeding station to see rehabilitate orangutans are given additional food. We will then sail back down to the river to overnight on the boat or at Rimba Lodge.

DAY 3:
Free morning program until time transfer to Kumai then to Pangkalan Bun airport for flight to Banjarmasin. Upon your arrival at Syamsuddinoor airport, meeting service with your guide or assistance who will escrort you to Banjarmasin city where you will stay.

DAY 4:
Early morning after breakfast transfer to boat terminal for joining River Tour visit Floating market in Kuin Villege, Kembang Monkey Island on Barito River, observation boat making and coconut oil Home Industry which are done in traditional way. Procced to Sabilal Muchtadien Grand Mosque and Batik Sasirangan Cloth Industry by car afterwards to Cempaka Village visiting Diamond Mining Field and traditional diamond workshop in Martapura. You will have chance for shopping vorius kinds of precious stone jewelers or diamond in reasonable price and reliable quality and get lunch. In the afternoon drive to Loksado at Kandangan Regency with stop at Muara Hatip Village. In the evening visit Malaris Dayak Longhouse, where you might have chance to meet natives at longhouse. Dinner and overnight at Amandit River Lodge.

DAY 5:
Early morning after breakfast, visit some other villages and observe the native way of live and joining Bamboo Rafting through Amandit River with its unique and nature panorama for about 4 hours. Return after lunch to go to Banjarmasin.

DAY 6:
Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to the airport for your next destination.
