Pondok Tanggui - Camp Leakey

DAY 1:
After arriving at of Pangkalan Bun, our local guide will pick up and assist to Kumai to get to the boat or Kelotok. The traditional boat is made of wood, which is called Kelotok by local people. The size is about 12 by 2,5 m with roof on the upper deck, where you can sleep and view the jungle. The guide’s team includes the boat man,cook native guede. In the peaceful afternoon we will slowly explore the quite river by the kelotok while the observe the monkeys along the river side. Dinner and overnigth on the boat, simple mattress, pillow, fine meals, bottle “mineral water”, mosquito net, kitchen, simple toilet available on the boat beside the familiar helpful guides and boatman, or spend the nigt at the Lodge near by the river.
DAY 2:
After Breakfast boart the Kelotok travel up river for about 2 hours boating and then up a side creek to Camp Leakey where the older orangutans are reintroduced into the jungle. En route stop at Pondok Tanggui, the rehabilitation center for the new-captive orangutans, see feding time at 9.00 am. then at Camp Leakey you will have opportunity to trek into the jungle with native guide and the forestry rangers to appereciate the flora as well as perhaps sigthing wild orangutans, gibbons, macaques and birds. Lunch provident on boat. At 2.00 pm we are visit the feeding station to see rehabilitate orangutans are given additional food. We will then sail back down to the river to overnight on the boat or at Rimba Lodge.
DAY 3:
Early morning after breakfast, Kelotok back to Kumai and then transfer by car drop your luggage at the hotel in Pangkalan Bun. Then straight to speed boat harbor. Please covered your valuable things with dry bags. You will be boarding your speed boat on Arut River before change to the Lamandau River. On the way you will pass some village along Lamandau River, Logging Company, and rapids. You will stop for lunch on the way. Upon arrival at Bakonsu village after 4 hours drive. Our guide will take you to the long house for your accomodation. Sightseeng around the villages and arrange the welcome dancing ceremony. After dinner they will ringging gong or and of their music intrument to gathering together for this Horn Bill Dancing Party. Lost of people will join and you will be welcome like a king and queen. Overnight at Long House.
DAY 4:
After breakfast, sigtseeing around the village. If youare interested to collect some dayak artifacts such as the mask,mat,and carvings this is one of the place that available for this kind of stuffs. After packing your luggage,drive down back to pangkalan Bun by speed boat. On the way stop at Kotawaringin palace and sightseeing surronding. Lunch on the way. Upon arrival at pangkalan Bun,drive by car back to your hotel.Free program at your own leisur.Over night at hotel in Pangkalan Bun.
DAY 5:
After breakfast transfer by car to Pangkalan Bun air port for your next destination.
